NEOO Partners, Inc. Awarded International Economic Development Council Excellence Award

ST. PAUL, MN – (October 14, 2021) – NEOO Partners, Inc. in partnership with Ramsey County’s Office of Community and Economic Development and the Center for Economic Inclusion have recently been selected for the prestigious International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development award for their partnership and collaboration on the Ramsey County Economic Competitiveness and Inclusion Plan project.

The Economic Equity and Inclusion award recognizes programs dedicated to improving the quality of life within a community through focused, innovative, and inclusive initiatives that incorporate the unique experiences and knowledge of underserved members of the community. These programs promote economic equity and inclusion and/or provide increased access to government and community resources to an underserved populace.

The Ramsey County Economic Competitiveness and Inclusion Plan was designed to achieve economic development strategy, centered around economic growth while strengthening economic competitiveness. The strategy prioritized inclusion in future investments and other actions around housing, job creation, workforce development and place-based investments throughout covid-19 crisis and response.

NEOO Partners, Inc. played a pivotal role in partnering with the Center for Economic Inclusion to develop a strategy for equitable development, including strategies for community engagement, strategic advising, developing an equity framework and recommendations and council for plan implementation.

“NEOO Partners, Inc. is known for thinking differently about community engagement strategies that impact the interconnectedness of Indigenous, Black, Asian and Latinx communities – particularly those who have been perpetually and historically marginalized throughout the processes of economic development.

We led by strategizing to ensure residents, businesses and communities are well-informed throughout the Ramsey County Economic Competitiveness and Inclusion Plan and are grateful to partner and collaborate with such strong allies in community as 2021 award recipients,” said D’Angelos Svenkeson, NEOO Partners, Inc. Founder and CEO.
